Daniel D. Jamieson

Daniel Dean Jamieson went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2011. He was born on April 17, 1967 in Bay City, Michigan to Roger and Joyce Jamieson. He grew up in Alcona County and graduated from Alcona High School in 1985. Throughout high school he played basketball and was on the track team. He went to Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania for one year. It was there, he realized that living “back home” and farming were what he really wanted to do. Dan married Heather Hill in March of 1992. They had 3 children, Kaylie, Connor, and Carson Jamieson. He enjoyed playing basketball, golfing, bailing hay, and studying the Bible. He loved watching his children play sports and going on family vacations. He is survived by his wife and three children, his parents, his sisters Kenda Clore, Allison (Chad) Spitznagel, his brother Andy (Rachel) Jamieson, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Jamieson is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Sunday June 19 from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, June 20 at the Alcona High School Auditorium from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm. Burial will be in Springport Cemetery, Harrisville.
