Lawrence R. Somers

Lawrence (Larry) R. Somers, 60, of Harrisville, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at his home. Mr. Somers was born March 31, 1947 in Harrisville to Ervin “Tink” and Genevieve (Ciszewski) Somers. Larry was a lifetime resident of Haynes Township, an avid hunter and enjoyed motorcycle riding. He was a former member of St. Anne Catholic Church of Harrisville. He was a farmer most of his life. Larry is survived by a daughter, Melissa Somers of Harrisville; two sisters, Janet (Zack) Higgins of Harrisville, Donna (James) Bright, of Lachine; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Chloe. His son, Kenneth preceded him in death March 29, 1995. Mr. Somers is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be Monday 4-9 PM with a wake service at 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be Tuesday 12 Noon at the funeral home with Rev. Peter Eke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Haynes Township.
