Maureen A. Stover, 80, of Lincoln (LLWC) passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born August 19, 1930, to Willard and Ella (Wilson) Crain in Grosse Pointe, MI, she was raised there. On October 2, 1954, she married Willard “Bill” Stover in Detroit, where they resided. They lived in Florida and Canton, before 1992, when they moved to Lost Lake Woods Club, where they had been members since 1956. Maureen grew up a member of the Club, and made frequent visits throughout her lifetime. Maureen was a member of Spruce Presbyterian Church, and of its Women’s Association. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #184, of Lincoln, and of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, and nature. She is survived by her husband; Bill, one daughter; Laurie (Charles) Hiop of Eastpointe, MI, one son; Lawrence (Jocelyn Cooper-Stover) Stover of Topsham, Maine, two granddaughters; Shannon Hiop and Madison Stover, two sisters; Carolyn (Gordon) Snyder of Lincoln, and Beverley Sellars of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law; Harry Sellars. Private family services have been held. Cremation arrangements were made by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
