Wesley Edward Keyser, 84, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home. Born August 20, 1926 to Earl and Cecil (Mund) Keyser in Bay City, he was raised there. On March 2, 1947 he married Shirley Bins, and they resided in Bay City, and Mio then moved to Harrisville in 1969. Wesley worked for Consumers Power as a Lineman in Charge and Area Supervisor. He was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, and a former member of its Men’s Club. He was a former member of the Harrisville Lions and was a member of the VFW Alcona Post #6466. Wesley enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife; Shirley, 5 children; Katherine (Robert) Kendall, Richard (Pam Vaerten) Keyser, Wesley Dale (Beverlee) Keyser, Lichia (Paul) Bucklin and Becky (Kerry) Phelps, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, 1 sister; Earlene (Robert) Jeroe, and 1 sister-in-law; Geraldine Keyser. Mr. Keyser was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Private family services have been held. Cremation arrangements were handled by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, Michigan.
