Gloria Mae Lee

Gloria Mae Lee, 81, of Greenbush, passed away February 7, 2011 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Hospital. Born October 22, 1929, to Charles and Lee Amanda (Babcock) Scheel in Ontario, Canada, she was raised in St. Clair Shores, MI. On May 7, 1949, she married Charlton Lee in St. Clair Shores, where they resided until moving to Oscoda, and retiring to Greenbush. Gloria was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado. She was a devoted homemaker, and worked as the Food Service Director for Camp Nissokone in Oscoda. Gloria enjoyed sewing, knitting, and genealogy. She is survived by her husband; Charlton, six children; Vicki (Charlie) Huffman of Cadillac, MI, Ron (Janet) Lee of Greenbush, Mick (Sherry) Lee of Greenbush, Tim (Nancy) Lee of Greenbush, Tom Lee of Mikado, and Sandy (Ron) Hohrein of Dover DE, 11 grandchildren; Tammy (John) Buffington of Lainsburg, MI, Becky (Nick) Gomez of Cadillac, MI, Matt (Julie) Huffman of Rib Lake, WI, Jerry (Jen) Lee of Greenbush, Willie Lee of Aurora CO, Casey (Sara) Lee of Mikado, MI, Donnie (Wendy) Lee of Mikado, Andi Lee of Littleton CO, Brandon Hohrein of Collegeville PA, Justin (Sami) Hohrein of Smyrna DE, and Crystal (Eric) Beck of Knotts Island NC, 12 great grandchildren; Emily and Savanah Buffington, Austin, Patrick, and Connor Lee, Carlos Gomez, Kendal Lee, Simon, Hudson, and Alivia Huffman, and Ryan and Zach Lee, brothers and sisters-in-law; Hershel (Norma) Lee of Greenbush, Millie Lee, Clara Atchison of Lincoln, Teresa Rudolph of Oscoda and Shirley Larson of Oscoda, as well as several nieces and nephews, and special friends; Molly Lee and Jaimie Sietler. She was preceded in death by her sister; June Mason. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 1 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado, with a luncheon and fellowship to follow.
