Gladys Eleanor Hill

Gladys Eleanor Hill, 86 of Harrisville, died on Tuesday December 28, 2010. She was born October 12, 1924 to James and Beatrice (Craven)Byce in Detroit, Michigan where she was raised. On June 23, 1945, she married Richard Holmes Hill in Bethesda, Maryland. They were residents of Livonia, Michigan. After their retirement they made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada, and later in Harrisville, Michigan. Mrs. Hill was a secretary at Ford Motor Company for 25 years. She enjoyed homemaking, reading, hunting, camping, and collecting and restoring antiques. She loved to travel and made many trips throughout the United States. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard on March 5, 2001. She is survived by her daughter Janet Unalp and her granddaughter Jennifer Castania. Services will be held in Boulder City, Nevada at 10:40 AM, Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Victor Kundargi of Green Valley Christian Center will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Mrs. Hill's favorite charitable organization, Paralyzed Veterans of America.
