Kathryn Kuenzli Ellis

Kathryn Kuenzli Ellis, 88, of Oscoda died March 15, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. She was born September 11, 1918 in Greenbush Twp., to James and Clara(Mohre) Kuenzli in Mikado and was raised there. Kathryn worked at Parts Manufacturing in Harrisville, moved from Mikado to Oscoda where she was employed by Rolled Products . In 1980 she moved to California where she was employed as a secretary for the Dept. of Roads. While in California Kathryn earned an Associates Degree at age 62. She loved to play cards and games with her grandchildren and attend all their school activities and sports, was a member of the Oscoda Methodist Church and was formerly active in the Rebakahs. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores (Ray) Kratochvil of Oscoda and Shirley Owens of Pleasanton, California, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one sister Luella Kuenzli of Oscoda: two sisters-in-law, Verna Kuenzli of Fairview and Florence Kuenzli of Binghampton, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by 8 brothers; Thomas, George, Howard, Earl, Russell, Laurence, Ervin and Walter, and a sister, Eva. Visitation will be Monday from 4-6 and 7-9 at our funeral home in Lincoln. Her funeral is 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 20, 2007, at the funeral hpme. Spring burial will take place at Mikado Cemetery.
